The Story of the Company
The story of Apostolos Papadopoulos ltd began in 1973 with the founders, Mr. Apostolos Papadopoulos, from whom the company derives its name, and his wife, Mrs. Christina Papadopoulou who established the company in 1973, when they started importing the Reynolds pens from France, the Lamina batteries from the Far East and cooker gas lighters from Italy. The company continued its importing activities by introducing the Rust Craft Greeting Cards (England) in the Cyprus market in 1977. That was the year when NAAFI had become the company’s client. Until 1986 the company was an importer of greeting cards, pens, lighters and souvenir items, concentrated mostly in the NAAFI market and the Cyprus tourist market. Since then, the company has diversified to become a big agent, importer, distributor of a variety of products, such as household plastic products, household cleaning products, insulated flasks and cups, cookware, barbeque equipment, disposable plastics, professional plastic products, electrical accessories, candles, glassware, greeting cards, post cards and lighters.
